Who we are

Meet caleb & caroline mathis

We started out like every TV/movie love story: the quiet, shy kid somehow gets the prettiest girl in school to go to prom with him. Ask me how I did it, and I still can’t tell you; and she still can’t tell you why she said yes, either! So you can imagine my shock 3 years later when I asked her to marry me, and she said “yes” again! I’ve always said “God sure does have a sense of humor”, and I’m thankful He does because who knows if I would have ever gotten this lucky again?! I’d like to say it all stayed perfect and movie-esq, but that would just be too easy. At 19 & 20, we started our business, and became very successful very quickly. The phrase “money gets to you” is true, and parallels a principle taught by Paul in the Bible : 1 Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil; which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. The pursuit of success and status made us do things, say things and become things we always said we wouldn’t and our marriage almost succumbed to it. May 19th, 2024, God restored our lives and our marriage, and we made a public declaration in water-baptism of our lives dedicated solely to Jesus Christ.

So, what to do with this business we were blessed with? What the enemy meant for evil God turned it for good (Gen. 5:20). God wrecked me in my spirit, and called us to pivot our dedication from our business to a life sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. Thus, Project 423 was born. Satan meant for our success to destroy us, but God has taken that success and made us a self-funded ministry. Never did we think we would be in ministry, but like I’ve always said: “God sure does have a sense of humor!”

From the bottom of our heart, thank you for your support of our mission to share the gospel globally. We believe God is going to do things beyond what we can imagine.

Joyfully,

Caleb and Caroline Mathis
